Why should you Invest in a Padel court?

Padel courts create opportunities for additional revenue streams through memberships, court rental, equipment and apparel sales. Investing in padel courts will expand and diversify your offering while increasing foot traffic through your club or venue thereby increasing your player and membership base. According to Playtomic data 57% of padel players have a pre or post game meal or drink, thus there are opportunities to generate additional sales through your food and beverage offerings.

Padel attracts a diverse range of individuals, including:

  1. Recreational Players: Padel appeals to people who are looking for a fun and social recreational activity. It can be enjoyed by players of various skill levels and ages, from beginners to experienced players. Many recreational players enjoy the social aspect of the sport and use it as a way to stay active and have a good time with family and friends.
  2. Tennis Players: Padel often attracts tennis players who are looking for a different experience or want to stay active during the winter months. The similarities between the two sports make it relatively easy for tennis players to transition to padel and apply their existing skills to the game.
  3. Squash Players: Padel incorporates elements of squash, so individuals who enjoy squash may also find padel appealing. The smaller court size and the use of solid paddles instead of racquets can make the transition from squash to padel smoother for players familiar with the dynamics of the squash game.
  4. Competitive Athletes: Padel has organised leagues and tournaments for players who want to compete at a higher level. Competitive athletes who enjoy the strategic and fast-paced nature of the game may be drawn to padel as a sport to test their skills and compete against others.
  5. Individuals Seeking Fitness and Health Benefits: Padel provides a good workout and can attract individuals who prioritise physical fitness and health. The game involves constant movement, agility, and cardiovascular activity, making it appealing to those who want to stay active and improve their fitness levels.
  6. Those Looking for Year-Round Outdoor Activity: In regions with cold climates, padel offers an opportunity for outdoor activity even during the winter months. People who enjoy being outdoors and want to continue playing a racquet sport when traditional tennis is not feasible due to weather conditions often turn to padel as an alternative.

Converting existing tennis courts facilities can generate up to 3x more revenue than a traditional single tennis court.

Site Assessment, Design and Planning

An expert court installer would visit the location where the padel courts are to be constructed and assess the area for suitability. Based on the site assessment and client requirements, the court installer would create a detailed design and plan for the court construction

Surface Preparation and Installation

The installer would prepare the ground for the court surface installation. This may involve additional civil works and excavation, levelling the surface, creating appropriate and suitable foundations and ensuring proper drainage where necessary to prevent water accumulation on the court. The court installer would erect the frame and mesh construction, insert approved glass panels and install the synthetic turf surface according to the specifications and dimensions outlined in the design.

Additional Features and Quality Control

A good court installer would conduct quality checks throughout the construction process to ensure that all elements of the court meet the required IFP Padel regulations & safety standards. They would pay attention to details, such as ensuring all frames are neatly and appropriately secured, turf seams are joined correctly, the correct application of sandfill based on turf selection, proper tension in the net and addressing any imperfections on the playing surface.

Court Maintenance

An important yet often overlooked aspect relates to continued court inspection and maintenance that covers inspecting glass and frame structures, checking turf and playing surfaces, net tension, lighting etc. We offer full maintenance contracts with spares availability for all courts that we install.

The Padel Experience

Most padel centres or venues with padel courts will offer a retail facility where you can pick up a wide range of racquets, balls and related accessories. Some venues will include apparel items and shoes for the serious enthusiasts. Many padel venues are also including a restaurant or snack offering that allows patrons to grab a pre game snack or beverage either before their game while waiting, or post game while socialising with friends or networking with new players. Padel generally is a social experience and clubs and venues are capitalising on this.

The benefits and advantages of playing padel and having padel facilities include:

  • Suitable for people of all ages and genders – truly a multigenerational sport
  • Fun team play activity with friends and family members
  • It’s a social game with networking opportunities, meeting new players
  • Exercise  – padel offers a good cardiovascular workout and improves coordination, reflexes and stamina
  • Padel is a great stress reliever
  • The game can be played year round in either indoor or outdoor facilities
  • Having a playing partner keeps you committed to your booking
  • Flexibility in timing – Padel can be played at any time for busy individuals – most venues operate from around 6 am to 10pm at night
  • Padel facilities work on a court rental basis, there are opportunities to diversify and increase income streams through equipment and apparel sales as well as food and beverage sales. Essentially adding padel courts increases foot traffic and opens up additional demographics to venues that previously may not have attracted those patrons

We understand the importance of having a reliable and well-constructed padel court that meets your specific needs. That’s why we take pride in importing top-of-the-line courts from the EU, renowned for their exceptional quality, durability, and performance.
